No Man's Sky, the breakout indie hit from Hello Games that everyone is eagerly anticipating, is a PlayStation 4 timed exclusive.
The details come from an article via Edge Magazine. You'll have to pick up the magazine itself to get the scoop. That being said, this doesn't come as that big of a surprise. It was announced that the game would be coming to the PS4 first back at E3 and it fits into the release schedule of developer Hello Games too, as pointed out by Reddit user usrevenge.
In addition, the timed exclusivity of No Man's Sky does a good job of fitting into Sony's PlayStation 4 philosophy well. While its competitors seem to focus on the next big blockbuster, Sony has instead sought after the unique experiences found in the indie landscape. This exclusive period of No Man's Sky undoubtedly helps cement the PS4's place as an indie gamer's console of choice. Aside from the PC, of course.
Look for No Man's Sky to (hopefully) release sometime in 2015.
