No More Heroes, one of the most underrated games on the Nintendo Wii is coming back with Travis Strikes Again as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. Game Director Suda51 caught up with Gamespot at PAX West in Seattle and revealed that there would be multiple nods and references to other indie games in Travis Strikes Again, which was hinted at in the reveal trailer (embedded above).
In the PAX West trailer, we see Travis playing Hotline Miami, but as it turns out this is just one of several collaborations with the game. The crossover will involve Travis wearing various T-shirts of other games explains Suda 51.
He said:
"As far as collaborations with other games and stuff goes, well you saw Hotline Miami in the trailer, but basically we're calling it the t-shirt collaboration. Travis is going to be wearing t-shirts of different indie games.
I've been going around the [PAX West] convention, talking to lots of different indie creators, checking out their games, and finding people to collaborate with the t-shirt thing. But that's pretty much all I can comment on as far as the collaboration goes."
It's worth noting that the six different games that Travis and Badman get sucked into won't be based on any real indie game, but will instead be original game ideas created specifically for No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again.
No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again will release exclusively on the Nintendo Switch in early 2018.
