After purchasing most of THQ's intellectual property when it went defunct 3 years ago, Nordic Games has now changed its name to THQ Nordic.
Lars Wingefors, the owner of THQ Nordic, commented on the change by saying "Whilst we take great pride in our Swedish roots and accomplished a great deal under the Nordic Games masthead, we decided it was time to incorporate the THQ name. Those key brands will continue to shape our business in a meaningful way going forward"
According to the studio, they have 23 projects in the work right now, such as the Darksiders remasters. On the other hand, 13 of these projects have yet to be publicly announced, but will be in the next few months as they are based on former IP of THQ. They also thanked everyone for their support, as they have grown their studio from only two employees, to 84 (325 with external teams) and multiple studios. Wingefors also commented by saying "We cherish them, and align them with the very best development resources to expand upon them with the level of experience that communities and established fan bases expect and deserve"
