But we don't condone jumping off of buildings willy-nilly.

Ubisoft has had a strange history with Assassin's Creed merchandise. Back in the dark ages of Assassin's Creed (we're looking at you, Unity), Ubisoft got a bit too big for their breeches and slapped the Assassin's Creed on anything that sat on store shelves. One such weird example being Gillette razors (do you really want to associate cutting necks with a product designed for a clean shave?)

But today, they announced a deal that people might actually like. Ubisoft is partnering with the designer Yeezy to bring Assassin's Creed Origin shoes. Now at first glance, the shoes look a bit strange; Atypical if you will, especially when compared to the recent Street Fighter sneakers. But for context, Yeezy is Kanye West's fashion line. Mixed reactions aside, it can't be denied that he associates himself with trying to break the mold.

The actual shoe designer's name is Dominic Lowman of Carmeno Custom Kicks. The design is reminiscent of hieroglyphics and papyrus, with the shoe's shape and a form resembling a sort of moccasin or something you'd see in an ancient civilization.

"It’s been so cool to work with Ubisoft on designing the Assassin’s Creed Origin’s sneaks," Lowman said in a press release. "For me, sneaker culture is a perfect representation of popular culture right now and it’s been amazing to merge this with a gaming franchise to create something that is not only wearable, but rich with history and a back story."

Now that we've possibly sold you on the idea of these shoes, it's, unfortunately, time for the bad news. THere are only 16 pairs of these kicks in existence. They won't even be available for purchase – they're only available to win in competitions and giveaways. Hey, at least you won't need to pay an arm and a leg for them!
