Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty will be Cross Buy on PlayStation

Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty, the next-gen remake of PlayStation 1 platformer Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, is "very , very nearly" the game Oddworld Inhabitants wants it to be. To that end, the developer has confirmed the game's pricing, revealing that it will also be a Cross Buy title between PS4, PS3, and Vita. This means that when you purchase it on one platform, you'll also get the other two versions included.

Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty will be available for $29.99 (€24.99 in Europe and – approximately – £19.99 in the UK). In addition to supporting Cross Buy, the developer is "busily implementing" Cross Save, which will allow you to take your progress in the game from the PS3 and PS4 versions on the road (and vice versa) if you also own a Vita.

While the studio wouldn't confirm a solid release date, they did say they will announce when the game will be available before E3 starts on June 9. They also confirmed that it wouldn't be out before E3, and that news on other platforms will "follow in due course."

"We know you, our biggest fans, are eager to play the game, and we’re doubly eager to share it with you – but we just need a few more weeks to get it exactly where we want it to be," the developer concluded.
