Of course the full teaser trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which is supposed to release in select IMAX theaters on Monday, leaked early. It's 2015, and Warner Bros. plan to tease the teaser trailer ahead of its Monday debut is incredibly outdated; not to mention, incredibly stupid in the first place.
I mean, what did they expect would happen? Especially after all the IMAX locations officially showing the trailer have been sold out. Sure, the footage is grainy and you probably aren't getting the optimal viewing experience, but the leaked video serves its purpose.
As for the trailer itself, it doesn't disappoint. It gives us our first look at Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, as well as a glimpse of what appears to be an epic showdown between Batman and Superman. That line, "Tell me, do you bleed? You will." Chilling.
The teaser seemingly sets up Batman to be a villain in the upcoming film, but I have a hard time believing he'll stay that way. I'm expecting some sort of intense fight between the two before they realize they must team up to take down the real villain — Lex Luthor? Also, Affleck's Batman voice is on a whole new level of bass — one that exceeds even Christian Bale's take on the character — but it's believed that he's using some sort of voice modification device on his suit, so at least it makes sense. Whatever, I dig it.
In addition to the trailer's official premiere in IMAX on Monday, April 20th, it's also expected to be attached to either Avengers: Age of Ultron or Warner Bros.' other blockbuster film, Mad Max: Fury Road, which releases in mid-May. So if you don't want to watch shaky, grainy footage, you'll have to wait a few more weeks.
