***Update***
Sony has issued a response to the PSN network outage. Although they acknowledged the connectivity issues, PSN appears to be up for us at least.

Another day, another problem for PlayStation Network. Sony's online service appears to be down for many, including ourselves.
Although Sony's official PSN status page has not yet been updated to reflect the outage, Twitter is lighting up with frustrated gamers raging at Sony. We've also experienced problems connecting.
Some developers have acknowledged the issue.
Upon trying to connect, we're greeted with error code (WS-37432-9) along with the message: "PlayStation Network is currently undergoing maintenance." I'd like to point out that Sony has made no mention of scheduled maintenance.
The outage couldn't have come at a worse time for PlayStation 4 owners who have been anxious to experience the closed beta for Tom Clancy's The Division, which ends tomorrow morning.
