Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy reveals June release date

While NIS America had already announced that Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy would be coming to North America and Europe, we never had an official release date. The first-person, RPG, dungeon crawler will be out on the PlayStation Vita June 9th in North America and June 5th in Europe. The game will be coming out both digitally and in physical form.

From the folk who made Demon Gaze, Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy takes a more science fiction approach to the RPG dungeon crawler. As the title suggests, the game takes place in Tokyo. The capital is swarmed with genetically altered abominations wit a portal to the abyss having opened. So yea, times are bad.

This is where the Xth Squad comes in; a group of teens modified by CPA Code Technology to take on these creatures. These characters are customized by you, the player. Hell, you’ll be customizing every member of your team in appearance, personality, morality, skills, traits, class – you name it.

With 40+ hours of gameplay, Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy may be worth taking a gander at if you’re a RPG dungeon crawling fan. Check out the trailer above.
