Overwatch: Get to know Pharah’s mom aka the new hero ‘Ana Amari’

Earlier today, it was leaked that Pharah's mother would be joining the roster of heroes in Blizzard's Overwatch. Now, Ana Amari has been officially detailed by Blizzard, you can find her role and abilities below, along with a trailer, but before that – let's look at her story.

Ana Amari, one of the founders of Overwatch, was widely considered to be one of the world's best marksman, and because of this she served fas Strike Commander Morrison's second-in-command for many years.

She served in combat for many years – despite any responsibility she had towards running the Overwatch organization. In her 50's it was believed that she had been killed "during a hostage rescue mission by the Talon operative known as Widowmaker."

Obviously, she didn't die – she just lost an eye. Now, she's back to combat.

Role: Support

Ana’s versatile arsenal allows her to affect heroes all over the battlefield. Her Biotic Rifle rounds and Biotic Grenades heal allies and damage or impair enemies; her sidearm tranquilizes key targets, and Nano Boost gives one of her comrades a considerable increase in power.
