Painkiller: Hell and Damnation, a remake of the first-person shooter from 2004, hits PC this month "totally uncut."
Publisher Nordic Games revealed that PC owners can play the game on October 31; those with consoles will have to wait until January 22 of next year. A "cut" version also releases on that date.
The original developer, People Can Fly, is now associated with Bulletstorm. The Farm 51, founded in part by veterans from the studio, are handling the remake of Painkiller for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. The game features a new story.
The Standard and Collector's editions for PC cost $19.99 and $29.99, respectively. The more expensive edition comes with stickers, postcards, an art book, a making-of DVD, a 10-track soundtrack, and in-game extras.
The console versions will cost $29.99.
