PC version of Final Fantasy VII arrives on PS4 today

Following an exciting look at Uncharted 4, Sony's PlayStation Experience keynote continued with the exciting announcement that the PC version of Final Fantasy VII is available today on PlayStation 4.

Just to be clear, this is not the remake that Square Enix announced at the Sony Press Conference this year, though that was also shown off today. And damn does it look good.

But while you wait for the actual remake, today you can play the port of the version available for purchase on Steam, featuring enhanced graphics, achievements, and a character booster.  This may not be the game that everyone has wanted for the last ten years, but it's a nice alternative for fans to dive into in the mean time.

Stay tuned while we wait for the official footage of the Final Fantasy VII remake.
