PopCap Games may have just released Peggle 2 for Xbox One, but the studio is already looking towards the future with its new game, with a particular focus on multiplayer. Over on the game's Facebook page, Peggle 2 producer Jared Neuss revealed a brand new multiplayer mode that will be returning in the future: Duel mode.
Though details are brief, Neuss confirmed that the new mode will enable players to compete against each other in a head-to-head match locally or online.
"We loved Duel mode in the original Peggle and can’t wait to bring it into the updated world of Peggle 2!"
Furthermore, the mode will be completely free "because free is rad and you find folks deserve it." Neuss added that there are "lots of surprises" in store for Peggle 2 and regular updates will continue to expand upon the game.
