How quickly things change. Yesterday, an interview from Tek Syndicate popped up on YouTube with Bethesda VP of PR and Marketing Pete Hines, seemingly revealing an unannounced game from the company that was due to arrive this year. Today, Hines is backtracking on that statement, effectively shooting down any hope at what would have been a rather awkwardly timed reveal so late in the calendar year.
Check out this tweet:
It's not much of a surprise given how stacked Bethesda's Q4 2017 lineup is with Wolfenstein II, The Evil Within 2, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, and Fallout 4 VR. Though, it's entirely probable (almost guaranteed) that the company does have at least one unannounced project in the works that Hines is keeping under wraps, hence the Freudian slip.
That said, it's clear that project is not meant for 2017, and with the excitement surrounding the PAX West event, it's easy to get caught up in the moment. It's not one of Hines' better moments, but it's not anything to lose your mind over.
