Phylicia Rashad has been cast in ‘Black Panther’, according to Sterling K. Brown

The 'Black Panther' cast just keeps growing!

Sterling K. Brown revealed that he worked on Marvel's Black Panther with The Cosby Show's Phylicia Rashad.

It was recently announced that 'This is Us' star, Sterling K. Brown, had been cast in Marvel's upcoming 'Black Panther' as a mysterious character named N'Jobu. Ever since the reveal, the speculation game has been going strong with his character being among the many that would make their debut in the film without having been in the comics previously.

During a post-Golden Globe interview with Brown, The Undefeated asked a few probing questions about some of his upcoming projects. On the subject of his experience getting to work on 'Black Panther', he had this to say:

"I just worked with Chad [Boseman] on a film called 'Marshall' about Thurgood Marshall. He’s such a talented human being and a deep soul. He’s the perfect personality to fully inhabit T’Challa. So, to rejoin him, and to work with Academy Award winners…to be with Michael B. Jordan after the incredible work he’s done in 'Creed', Danai Gurira, [Phylicia Rashad,] Forest Whitaker; like, it’s embarrassing. I’m good at what I do, I don’t try to do any sort of false modesty, but, ‘Wow! I get to be with all of you people?!’"

The mention of Rashad's involvement has since been removed from the official interview, but many sources are already reporting that she is a part of the project. Who she could be playing is still to be revealed, especially with the long list of new characters (including Brown's) being introduced.
