Pizza Hut in Hong Kong is delivering some pizzas in specialty pizza boxes that turn into movie projectors. Now, this makes a lot of sense, pizza and movies seem to go hand-in-hand. Only, they are forgetting pizza and gaming goes hand-in-hand too.
When Pizza Hut launched their Xbox 360 app last year, it boosted their business by more than $1 million. That's insane! This projector box could easily be forced into showing games instead of movies.
The box was designed by Ogilvy Hong Kong and there are four different boxes, each comes with a QR code for a different film; Slice Night (for horror fans), Anchovy Armageddon (for science-fiction), Hot & Ready (for romance), and Fully Loaded (for an action flick). The box, aptly named "Blockbuster Box," has a perforated pop-out hole on the side and a unique pizza table that doubles as both the lense for the projector and smartphone holder.
The lense takes whatever video/game you're playing and blows it up onto a nearby wall. How you get the sound be decent and keep your phone from greasing up is beyond me, but hey — this is science.
