A likely error led to users being able to visit and even pre-order a new Bethesda placeholder game. There even was a short video which is a simple countdown timer, reminding many users of the Fallout franchise.

Twitter user Wario64, likely known for readers as an avid searcher of gaming deals, noticed the mistake on Amazon’s website, and promptly made his over 140 thousand followers aware of the goof.
Listing mistakes aren’t uncommon at retailer websites, so this could very well end up meaning nothing, but there’ still the valid probability that a new Bethesda game just got leaked. Well, at least the existence of one, since the page and all of its contents were pretty much consisting of placeholder material. No name, no description, nothing.
The only points of interest are that the listings show a Bethesda game and that it is coming for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC. For each platform we further see three variants of the untitled game. It’s the usual suspects with Standard, Deluxe and Collector’s Edition. Their pricing however is the same at $59.99, further cementing that this is indeed only a placeholder.
But the fact that it’s clearly shown as a Bethesda game was enough for gamers to engage in heated speculations what this could end up. Just shy over three months ago, Bethesda released Fallout 76, so it’s basically out of the question that a new Fallout game is coming. The short video, reminding viewers of the Fallout franchise could be a hint however. Maybe it’s a remaster or anthology collection of last-generation Fallout games.
For now, we’ll have to wait and see.
