Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare delayed

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, PopCap Games' multiplayer shooter based on the studio's wonderfully addictive tower defense game, has been delayed for Xbox One and Xbox 360.

PopCap announced today that it will now launch on February 25 in North America, a week later than the previously-announced date of February 18. In Europe, Garden Warfare will also launch one week later than originally planned, on February 27.

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare offers more than 10 maps and three distinct game modes, including two 12v12 competitive multiplayer modes. It also has a four player co-operative mode in which plants must defend the garden bases from zombies attempting to turn them into graveyards. On Xbox One, there are two extra modes including local cooperative split screen and Boss Mode, the latter of which can be used with Kinect or SmartGlass.
