Player finds crazy Alien reference in Fallout 4

As is the case with most open-world games, the wasteland of Fallout 4 is rife with easter eggs. The massive game has been out in the wild for only just a week and already players are digging up all sorts of fascinating easter eggs and references.

Case in point, Imgur user 1Times, who recently discovered a very obscure Alien reference. While searching the wasteland, 1Times came across a flux sensor, only this one had an intriguing number combination on the back: "CM-88B 180924609."

Many probably wouldn't take the time to investigate, but after doing some research, 1Times discovered this number is actually the registration number of the USCSS Nostromo from the movie Alien.

The ship was destroyed in 2122, but seeing as how Fallout 4 is set inĀ 2287 is it possible someone discovered the piece of technology and tucked it away in the wasteland? Wait, is Fallout 4 linked to Alien!? Mind. Blown.

Just goes to show you, search everything you find in Fallout 4. You never know what will be an easter egg.
