PlayStation App update 1.70 now available

It was a busy morning for the PlayStation gamers. In addition to updates to both the PS4 and PS Vita, the PlayStation App has also received an update today. Among the new features are the option to receive Push Notifications.

Push Notifications will enable the app to send you notifcations for select PS4 updates you want to receive, such as gameplay invitations, game alerts, or friend requests. You can now also receive friend requests via email or text messages.

Lastly, Sony claims that it's now easier to change your profile picture right from you mobile device. You are now able to uploade an image from your photo library or by taking a photo using your in-device camera.

The PlayStation App can be downloaded for iOS or Android devices.
