PlayStation Neo has been the subject of many hot stories published since the start of this year. Frankly, no one knew what it was. Leaked documents suggested it was an upgraded PS4, but Sony remained fairly quiet on the leaks. Everyone expected them to reveal the console at E3, and they did… sort of. Andrew House gave a statement to Financial Times saying the console existed but remained vague on the details of the machine.
Today, we finally got our first look at the PlayStation Neo which is officially named PlayStation 4 Pro. The new system will boast an upgraded GPU (more than doubled) 4K display, boosted clock rate, a 1TB HDD, and yes, old PS4 games will indeed work on PS4 Pro. The PS4 Pro will release November 10th, 2016 for $400.
Sony also confirmed that Netflix and YouTube will be getting fully functional 4K apps.
Sony also showcased some upcoming games running in real time on PS4 Pro. You can view a screenshot of Spider-Man below.
