PlayStation Mobile was created with intention of allowing users cross-platform play between the Vita and Android devices. While the concept sounded great, it will no longer exist by fall of this year.
This summer PlayStation Mobile will be terminated. PlayStation Japan has announced that on July 15th the distribution of the service will cease to be and on September 10th everything as we know it in PlayStation Mobile will end.
After September 10th, users will not be able to re-download previously purchased PlayStation Mobile content, but they will still be able to access the content. Accessing the content will not be automatic to anyone that purchased the content; there are specific steps a user has to go through in order to retain access to content.
