PlayStation Move Focusing on Core Games

In a recent interview, Sony’s director of hardware marketing John Koller stated that PlayStation Move is being directed toward core games. Though the peripheral initially started off as a means for casual gaming within families, Koller mentioned that the motion controller will begin to focus on hardcore titles.

When asked about Kinect, Koller said, “The limitations are such that you can’t create all the games you want to do.” He expressed his opinion on Microsoft’s motion hardware, saying that the precision that Move brings can’t really be matched with a camera-based accessory like Kinect.

If PlayStation Move is really headed the hardcore route, it’s going to be interesting to see what titles launch in the future that utilize the technology.
