PlayStation Plus Subscribers Get Cloud Save Games Tomorrow

The next system software update (v3.60) for the PlayStation 3 drops tomorrow, March 10, and will allow PlayStation Plus subscribers to back up their game saves to a cloud storage system. Up to 150MB of storage will be available and a maximum of 1,000 files per PlayStation Network account. Even copy-prohibited save data is supported, and players can recover data once ever 24 hours.

Cloud storage has many benefits, including the ability to access data from anywhere. This means you’ll be able to load your unique game saves from any net-connected PlayStation 3. Plus, should your hard drive fail, the data that you backed up will be safe and sound.
