A Pokémon Conquest sequel could happen — if fans want it enough.
The Pokémon Company chief executive officer Tsunekazu Ishihara proposed that with enough demand and enthusiasm from the fans, a sequel to the off-beat tactical role-playing game — an excursion from the main Pokémon series — could be in order.
That's not a guarantee, of course, but it is a call to action. The CEO said he wouldn't rule out the possibility.
“Well, there was a lot of unfinished material for Pokémon Conquest," tweeted Hisashi Koinuma, Tecmo Koei's new executive vice president.
Tecmo Koei, not Game Freak, developed Pokémon Conquest, which debuted last summer for Nintendo DS. Now the mainstay developer, Game Freak, is working on Pokémon X and Y for simultaneous worldwide release this fall on 3DS.
