Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon confirmed by Nintendo

Nintendo had teased 'big' Pokemon news to come during their Pokemon-themed Nintendo Direct, and it looks like we all got the news we wanted.

Pokemon Moon and Pokemon Sun have been confirmed for a 2016 release on the 3DS, in nine languages. Yesterday, logos for the two games were revealed through trademarks filed by Nintendo via the European Union.

Pokemon Sun and Moon will be unique to the series, as Pokemon caught on the coming digital versions of Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow can officially be brought over to the new generation of games through the online Pokemon storage service, Pokemon Bank.
