Between all of the action at the Pokemon World Championships over the weekend, it appears a small announcement regarding Pokken Tournament DX has slipped through the cracks. As it turns out, players will have the opportunity to give the game a test run via a free demo ahead of launch.
The news was announced on the official Pokemon Twitter account:
Unfortunately, there's no word on a release date for the demo, but given that the game is due to arrive in just over a month, it shouldn't be too long of a wait.
As previously revealed, Pokken Tournament is the Deluxe version of the original Wii U game, much like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The game comes with a new fighter, Sun and Moon's best Starter, Decidueye, new support Pokemon, as well as the ability to play anywhere on the go.
Pokken Tournament DX releases exclusively on Nintendo Switch on September 22nd, 2017.
