Popular Action MOBA, Smite releasing on PS4 next week

The Battleground of the Gods will exit Beta on May 31st

Smite has been around for a while now, starting as a Free-to-Play PC exclusive that released back in March of 2014. Eventually it was ported over to the Xbox One before being announced for PS4. Smite has been in Open Beta for the past couple of months, but that will end next week on May 31st.

In Smite, you have the option to choose from a plethora of mythological Gods like Zeus (Greek) or Kukulkan (Mayan). Each character has its own unique fighting style, legendary weapons, powers and strategies for defeating enemies on the battlefield.

Developer Hi-Rez Studios has announced a few of the changes that Smite has undergone in preparation for its full release and they are as follows:

  • Doubled Frame Rate – Smite is now optimized at 60 FPS
  • Trophies
  • New Game Modes – Small-scale 5v5 Clash and Siege modes
  • New Gods – Four new gods bringing the total count to 75.
