5th Planet's social sci-fi massively multiplayer online role-playing game Legacy of a Thousand Suns has made the jump to mobile.
Developer Spellgun Studio "soft-launched" the title on the Canadian App Store today. A worldwide iOS release is set to follow in one to two weeks.
Suns is popular on PC and is available on a number of web platforms, including Facebook and Kongregate. It debuted on the social network site in November 2010 and now reaches 20,000 players there daily.
The narrative-driven, multiplayer experience appeals to both casual and hardcore players and has been "consistently profitable," according to a press release. Content updates will arrive every two to four weeks. It also features a "robust tutorial" for newcomers.
Players must help Princess Illaria escape from her enemies, who have declared war on the Sian Empire.
Established in October 2012, Spellgun is a new studio and division of the entertainment group Zattikka, which has offices in San Francisco and Shanghai.
