Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward, the successor to 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors for the DS, is coming to the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita later this year. Amazon, which now features a pre-order listing for the visual novel/puzzle game, suggests a target release of October.
Publisher Aksys and developer Chunsoft have not confirmed an official date for the game, as October 24 is most likely a placeholder.
The game includes cast members from 999, contains 24 different endings, and features full voice-acting in English and Japanese. Visuals are rendered in 3D models rather than the 2D sprites of the previous game.
Zero Escape—called by early names such as “Good People Die” and “Zennin Shiboudesu”—came out on February 16 in Japan.
