Outlast, Red Barrel's survival-horror game that mixes elements of stealth and chase, is now available for preorder on Steam.
"Outlast contains intense violence, gore, graphic sexual content, and strong language," the Steam page reads. "Please enjoy."
The PC title costs $20, but Red Barrel Games has slashed the price of preorders by 20 percent, so gamers can grab it for $16. Outlast releases on September 4 and has been touted as the game that made someone faint at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. That's a good thing. I'm sure no lawsuits happened (probably).
Red Barrels will show a new hands-on demo at this year's PAX Prime, which takes place the weekend of August 30 in Seattle. Outlast developer and company co-founder David Chateauneuf will also appear in a morning panel about survival horror on Sunday, September 1.
