Level-5 announced sales data for several of its key games at its Vision press conference this morning in Shinagawa, Tokyo.
Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, the role-playing game Level-5 developed with Japanese animation company Studio Ghibli, sold 1.4 million copies worldwide, said chief executive officer Akihiro Hino. That figure includes PlayStation 3 and Nintendo DS (in Japan) sales.
That's just pennies, though, compared to the Professor Layton puzzle-adventure series, whose many entries have pushed over 15 million. Level-5 also announced its next game, Layton 7, for Nintendo 3DS and mobile devices.
In addition, the Guild compilation series — which consists of titles like Liberation Maiden, Aero Porter, and Crimson Shroud from various developers, not just Level-5 — has cracked 400,000 downloads, with about half of those coming from overseas.
