Project Spark Beta begins on Xbox One in February

Xbox One owners will be able to access the Beta for Project Spark, Microsoft's intriguing sandbox creator, some time in February, developer Team Dakota has revealed. Currently in a closed Beta for PC, those who already have a Windows 8 beta key will be given access to the Xbox One beta.

"If you are in the Windows 8 beta, you will automatically have access to the Xbox One beta when it starts," Team Dakota said. Don't worry if you're like me and gave away your code to someone else because you don't use Windows 8; a second key will be sent out to everyone.

"If you gave away your Project Spark beta key, don't worry, we have you covered and will be sending everyone a second key when Xbox One beta begins," Team Dakota explained.

Project Spark was first revealed during Microsoft's E3 2013 press conference. The game gives players the options and tools to create virtually anything they can imagine. "Project Spark is a powerful, yet simple way to build and play your own worlds, stories, and games," the game's description reads. "Share all of your creations to a dynamic community, and play what the community makes."

An Xbox 360 version of Project Spark is also in development; however, there are no beta plans announced for the platform yet.
