Sony started beta testing the Shingen update back in August, but now it's time for everyone to experience it. Update 4.0 will be rolling out on PlayStation 4 consoles tomorrow!
The most important features of this update are the Folders and Library Organization. After 4.0, you will be able to create folders for better organization and the Library will see new tabs to keep apps, games, and demos from getting mixed together.
In addition to that, Trophy improvements are coming and an overall UI refresh.

Update to the Quick Menu:
- Access it without leaving your game.
- Added several options like and enhanced Music section:
- Allow you to discover, play, and control Spotify without needing to open the app.
- Be able to play, pause, skip, shuffle, repeat and save songs.

- See all upcoming songs and choose to play all, or select an individual song to listen to

New Activity Feed:
- Larger images
- Sections for Now Playing, Trending, Players You May Know, and Who to Follow.
Content Info Screen Redesign:
- You’ll be able to easily select from a variety of options to view a game’s Overview, Trending media, Friends and Communities, Activities, and related PlayStation Store content.
Transfer Data to a New PS4 via wired LAN connection:
- Much faster and easier.
