Sony last night released system software update 1.74. Unfortunately, there's not much to get excited about over this one as it merely "improves stability of some software."
Sony notes that in order to download the latest update you'll need a minimum of 320MB of free space either on the PS4 hard disk drive or on a removable storage media. Should you have the PS4's automatic update feature enabled, then it has probably already downloaded, so you're good to go.
Yesterday, EU PlayStation community manager Fred Dutton revealed that more news on a hopefully more major PS4 firmware update would be coming "very soon." We haven't heard anything yet, but we'll keep an eye out.
