Psychonauts 2 successfully crowdfunded for $3.3 million

With five days to go in its Fig crowdfunding campaign, Psychonauts 2 has been successfully funded when it reached its goal of $3.3 million late yesterday.

In this sequel, Raz continues his story with finally being able to go to Psychonauts HQ, but he quickly realizes it's not all it's made out to be. Other details on the game's story are extremely slim at this point as the game is not schedule to be released until some point in 2018. Although it has raised the $3.3 million, Double Fine still needs approximately $10 million in additional funding to complete the project. Don't worry though, they are not going to hit us up anymore. The remaining funds will be split up between Double Fine themselves and an unnamed investor.

As far as who that investor is, your guess is as good as ours. Psychonauts 2 is going to be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC. If you're still interested in backing the campaign, you can head over to the Fig backers site here.
