Quantum Break still ‘on schedule’ despite CEO’s departure for Wargaming

As Matias Myllyrinne, the CEO of Remedy Games, prepared to step down from his position, he released a statement on the forums of his soon-to-be former company thanking both Remedy and fans for their support. In Myllyrinne's closing statement, he spoke on the state of Remedy's highly anticipated Xbox One exclusive, Quantum Break.

Quantum Break was recently delayed to 2016 due to a busy 2015 line-up for the Xbox One, but according to Myllyrinne, "Quantum Break looks amazing and the team is working hard to build it into the game that you deserve. It will be worthy of the Remedy brand." Remedy is "making the most "of extra development time, by "polishing the game."

Myllyrinne is moving on to "something new" at World of Tanks studio, Wargaming. When it comes to Quantom Break, it's in good hands and coming along nicely. "Every project has a lifecycle and this one is past the hard inflection points. It looks great and is coming together nicely on schedule," said Myllyrinne in an interview with Games Industry. "To be clear, we have seasoned project leadership in place, and they do most of the heavy lifting anyway."

What Myllrinne will be doing at Wargaming has yet to br revealed, but he promises that we will hear more on it in the coming weeks.
