Rambo: The Video Game arriving at Gamescom about 20 years too late

Rambo: The Video Game will be playable on the show floor at Gamescom this year, publisher Reef Entertainment announced. The only problem? It's about 20 years too late. Is anyone really still interested in Rambo?

It appears so as anticipation for the upcoming game is already rising despite knowing little to nothing of the game which was originally announced back in August. Since then, updates on Rambo: The Video Game have been non-existent.

"We have been quiet since we acquired the Rambo license last August," said Reef Entertainment Commercial Director Craig Lewis. "During this time we have been dedicated to creating a videogame for consoles and PC that will allow Rambo fans and gamers across the globe to really get under the skin of Rambo and wield his iconic weapon-set in battle."

No release date for Rambo: The Video Game has been announced, but the official site assures that it's "coming soon". It also shows a pretty badass picture of Sylvestor Stallone before his skin started drooping. Seriously, I haven't seen him look that good since the 80s, which is also when it was cool to like Rambo. Now it just seems out of date – especially when we have movies like Taken and The Expendables.

Still, it could be pretty cool to take on an entire army with nothing but a bow and some explosive arrows…Let's just hope it features a younger Stallone and nothing the drooping remains of what used to be an action star.
