Red Dead Redemption 2 officially delayed to Spring 2018; New screenshots released

It’s probably no surprise but Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 will not be released in 2017. The game has suffered a delay pushing it back to Spring of 2018. Rockstar Games went on to mention that they only believe in releasing games that are fully ready for release and that “some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans”.

That means we won’t be able to play Red Dead Redemption 2 until around this time next year. To soften the blow, Rockstar has released a handful of beautiful new screenshots that confirm dual-wielding, new locations, and it looks like multiple outfits/playable characters if some of the screens are the main characters.

Rockstar Games promises to release new information this summer, we can probably expect a new trailer around next month at E3.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will release in Spring 2018 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
