Rockstar finally revealed Red Dead Redemption 2 last year for release in Fall 2017, and it looks like we have our first glimpse of a possible release date.
British online retailer Littlewoods has posted pre-orders of the game with an expected delivery date of October 2nd, 2017. That falls on a Monday, which is an unusual date for a game release as most tend to release on Tuesdays or Fridays depending on location. It could very well be a placeholder as Rockstar tends to lock up information on their games, but it does fit into the Autumn 2017 window.
October is usually a slow month for game releases as most holiday debuts usually land in November, so this could be a good window for Rockstar. On the other hand, Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to sell like hotcakes no matter where it releases. No official story has been detailed yet, but the initial trailer reveal shows Marston’s gang with Bill Williamson and Dutch before the events of Red Dead Redemption.
We’ll have to wait and see more, but what do you think of this date? Placeholder or nah? Let us know below.
