Red Dead Redemption 2’s marketing gears up with new posters in NYC

It’s happening! Red Dead Redemption 2 is just around the corner and after a long summer of very little news outside of a trailer in May, it looks like things are about to heat up as Rockstar Games is preparing the hype train to leave the station.

New pieces of artwork have been spotted in New York City by former GameZone writer Tom Caswell, the posters depicts Dutch van der Linde, John Marston, Sadie Adler, and a Native American character named Charles Smith.

The poster confirms that the game is indeed still launching this October, as expected and could be signaling new marketing material coming soon such as a trailer, screenshots, gameplay, more media impressions, and more.

We’re just speculating at the moment and are eager to see what Rockstar has in store for us. If we had to guess, the trailer will likely come this week given that the pre-order bonus for the in-game treasure map expires on August 15th so this will likely serve as a way to boost more pre-orders before then.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will release for Xbox One and PS4 on October 26th.
