Red Dead Redemption has been rumored for Xbox One backward compatibility since December and was even playable for a few hours one day. Players have been begging for this since the announcement of backward compatibility last year at E3, it was one of the most requested games among users.
Starting this Friday, Xbox One owners can play the critically acclaimed western game and all of it's DLC. All copies of the game will work, including the game of the year and Undead Nightmare standalone disc.
Rumors have been circulating for months now on a new Red Dead game being announced but nothing has come of it quite yet, but this may hint to an imminent announcement. Leaked artwork and screenshots for a remaster have popped up across the web but it's hard to tell how legit the leaks are.
In other news, PS4 fans can play the game adaptation of the cult classic film, The Warriors, starting today for $14.99.
