Red Hood: Retcon launches $20,000 Kickstarter campaign to ‘legitimize’ series

Fan-made production has low budget but high expectations

Luke Watson and David Sartin have their very own pet-project, launching a $20,000 Kickstarter campaign to take Red Hood Retcon to the next level.

The idea behind this fan-made production seemingly originates with the Batman character, with the series delving into his disappearance and Jason Todd's return to Gotham.

Watson and Sartin believe that they have an original story here and, judging by the trailers they've released so far, it's all looking pretty good. However with a slim amount of capital only time will tell if this project will last the distance, with the pair hoping for pledges/donations from fans.

Former WWE World Heavyweight champion Dave Bautista, known in the movie industry for his roles in James Bond: Spectre and Guardians of the Galaxy, has even tweeted about the project:

“Our story begins many years after Jason Todd’s resurrection. This is going to be a much older and experienced version of Jason Todd. In fact, our story is completely original, and has never been told," the filmmakers said.

The project has so far recieved almost $1,500 in donations via the Kickstarter website and has until February 1st to achieve its goal.

If you're interested in the project, they explain the idea in a little more detail in their campaign video below, but you can read more by clicking here.
