Registration for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire’s Battle of Hoenn open

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire players from around the world will be able to battle it out soon in the Battle of Hoenn competition.

Grab your best team of Pokémon and get ready for some Single Battle matches, with anyone (within your age group) on January 23, 2015, at 00:00 UTC until Sunday, January 25, 2015, at 23:59 UTC. There are rules though…

Only Pokémon from the Hoenn Pokédex and that have been found, caught, hatched from an egg, or recieved through a promotion in Pokémon Omega Ruby, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, Pokémon X, or Pokémon Y can be used – excluding Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, and Deoxys. Any Pokémon you have that is above level 50 will be set to level 50 for the duration of the match.

The registration is limited to 50,000 (the limit might change), it is first come – first serve. Participants will be split by age, if you're born in 2000 or later you will be in the Junior/Senior Division and limited to playing between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m.. If you were born in 1999 or earlier you will be in the Masters Divition.

You can only register between Thursday, January 15, 2015, at 00:00 UTC yo Thursday, January 22, 2015, at 23:59 UTC.
