Report: Credible document leaks Fortnite for Nintendo Switch

After rumors, potentially unintentional leaks from studios, and much more, it seems the dream is about to finally come true. Epic Games’ massively popular shooter, Fortnite, is making its way to Nintendo Switch according to a new leak and credible sources.

Today, a picture began surfacing on 4Chan that appeared to show off a piece of marketing material for a retailer with various Switch games that will be revealed at E3. Among the games are FIFA 19 (which is a confirmed title as of today), the unannounced Overcooked 2, Dragonball FighterZ, and more. Fortnite and Overcooked 2 are the biggest bombshells to come from this leak and while 4Chan “leaks” can usually be passed off as nothing, this one has weight to it.

Several outlets including Kotaku have verified the authenticity of it by corroborating the existence of some of the games on it. Under the condition of anonymity, someone closely involved with Fortnite confirmed that the battle royale game will be coming to Nintendo Switch soon. Only time will tell just how long we have to wait to play it ourselves but we’ll likely hear more at E3 when it gets revealed.

The leak doesn’t reveal any unknown first-party Nintendo games so the big N could be keeping those titles close to the chest as a way to ensure they don’t leak but it’s hard to say. The company just revealed the 2018 Nintendo Switch Pokemon games this week, Mario Tennis Aces is releasing in just a few weeks, and Nintendo already has a few announced games they need to shed some more light on like Metroid Prime 4.

It’s possible they have no new first-party games to announce but again, they may just be playing it very close to the chest. E3 is in just two weeks so we won’t have to wait long to find out what the gaming giant is planning for their console/portable hybrid.

Fortnite is out now on Xbox One, PS4, PC, and mobile devices.
