Republique launches on iOS first next week

The first episode of stealth action-adventure game Republique launches on the App Store next week.

Developer Camouflaj is releasing the first episode, called Exordium, for $5 on Thursday, Dec. 19. This makes Republique a premium-priced, multi-part app, which makes sense considering the developers aimed to create a triple-A mobile experience when they launched the Kickstarter for Republique in May last year. They raised over $555,000 in crowdfunding.

Releases on other platforms, including PC and Mac, will follow.

Camouflaj will launch all five episodes a few months apart from each other. You can get the whole series for $20 — $5 less — by purchasing the first game for $5 and then buying a $15 season pass.

Each episode lasts between two and three hours.

Republique was originally slated to release in the summer.
