Resident Evil 6 demo live on Xbox 360 for Dragon’s Dogma players

If you purchased Dragon's Dogma on the Xbox 360 back when it released in May then you are now able to download the demo of Capcom's highly anticipated shooter Resident Evil 6. As announced back in January, the Xbox 360 version of Dragon's Dogma contained a redeemable token that allows owners to download the Resident Evil 6 demo from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace a full 60 days earlier than any other platform.

The demo features three different missions and gameplay experiences, each taken from one of the full game's three separate campaigns that center around a different protagonist. It's just a small taste of things to come as Resident Evil 6 is about double the length of its predecessor. According to producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, each individual campaign is "probably around 70% to 80% of the volume of the whole game in Resident Evil 5."

As for the demo, here's what it includes:

Play as Leon S. Kennedy alongside Helena Harper and explore the dark confines of the Ivy University campus and the zombies that fill its hallways. Select Chris Redfield’s mission and head to China for an intense encounter against the deadly J’avo with BSAA colleague Piers Nivans on the rooftops of Lanshiang. The third mission shifts the action to the war-torn Eastern European state of Edonia and sees Jake Muller and Sherry Berkin trying to escape the relentless pursuit of the Ustanak, one of the new B.O.W.’s being introduced in Resident Evil 6.

To access the demo, go to the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and redeem your code written no the back of the Dragon's Dogma manual to begin the download. Once you boot up Dragon's Dogma, a personal thank you will greet you in the form of "early access to what we think is the best Resident Evil yet", according to Capcom.

The Resident Evil 6 demo will be made available for owners of the PS3 version of Dragon's Dogma on September 4th in North American and Japan and September 5th in Europe.

The full game will be made available globally on Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 2, 2012. A PC version will follow at a later date.
