This is your last chance to click away from the page or else you will be hit with spoilers right from the get-go. You can find all that and more below the image.

Seriously.

SPOILERS

DLC:

Looking through the files revealed a bit of information on the first DLC for Resident Evil 7. NeoGaf member Jawmuncher detailed the 'four short stories' DLC, but not the 2 campaign chapter DLCs because there was no information on them. The first four DLC's appear to be minigames:

According to Jawmuncher:

  • DLC 1-1: A puzzle-focused gameplay chapter where it seems you answer riddles and other types of puzzles. Almost seems entirely puzzle focused.
  • DLC 1-2: A card game? Apparently, some card game you can play either in a story mode way or an endless mode with some type of reward you get. Specifics not clear, but includes mechanics like bluff, and some sort of in-game droppable based on your performance.
  • DLC 1-3: Wave-Based Survival Mode. seems to have multiple stages, and 10 waves for each map.
  • DLC 1-4: A proper miniature story chapter with you in a place with Lucas it seems. Also seems to have three endings based on something you do in this chapter.

Data mining has also revealed that we might be seeing a familiar face from the Resident Evil series appear in the upcoming game, Resident Evil 7. According to files found by Redditor Mishakolok, the "Last Boss" string in the game is attached to someone named Albert.

Is it the infamous Albert Wesker though? Before we flat out say no, a couple of items related to Albert suggest that it may, in fact, be Albert Wesker – specifically the handgun.

Items related to "Albert"

  • HandGun_Albert_Reward
  • Shotgun_Albert
  • WeaponHandgunAlbertAppend
  • LastBossFinishGetGun
  • LastBossGetAlbert
  • AlbertInteract
  • AlbertGet
  • AlbertWeapon
  • AlbertDamageCount
  • isDamagedByAlbert

Within the 'Last Boss' string was also a choice between 'Mia' and 'Zoe,' which is indicative of multiple endings.

You can find all the items that can be used as weapons in Resident Evil 7 on the following page, as well as a great summary of all the data mining findings on NeoGaf.
