MonkeyPaw Games is putting off tomorrow's release of Hyper Crazy Climber, which is the fourth game in its "Retro Rush" event of classics hitting the PlayStation Network Import section from January to February.
Crazy Climber, known on PlayStation as Hyper Crazy Climber, is an old skyscraper-ascender that first appeared for arcades in 1980. MonkeyPaw blamed a "legal hurdle" for the delay, writing in a blog post, "We did everything we could to sort out the matter as quickly as possible, but we weren’t able to get the problem solved in time for the February 4 release day. We’ll update everyone as soon as we know the new release date for Hyper Crazy Climber."
MonkeyPaw promises that this problem won't happen with the other Retro Rush releases, which will resume with run-and-gun mech game Wolf Fang on Feb. 11.
"This problem is unique to this one title and does not affect any of the other games."
Hyper Crazy Climber should hit PSN sometime in Q1 this year. MonkeyPlaw plans to lead up to the digital release of platformer Tomba! 2.
