Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality’s retail and collector’s edition now available

Rick and Morty fans and PlayStation VR owners, we have a treat for you! Adult Swim has officially released the retail version and collector’s edition of their VR game, Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality and it’s bundled with all sorts of goodies.

If you’re a diehard fan, you can go pick up the collector’s edition which includes a “Weaponized Rick” Funko Pop! vinyl figure, the game, and a double-sided comic-book cover which parodies the critically acclaimed game The Last of Us. It just hit me that there’s an odd similarity between Joel and Ellie and Rick and Morty, I’m not sure how to feel about that. The collector’s edition will set you back $49.99 but if you just want a regular boxed copy, that’ll cost you $29.99.

For those unaware, Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality is a VR adventure game that places you inside the insane and imaginative world that series creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon have thrust upon all of us. Players will find themselves going to all sorts of weird and fantastical places as well as being able to explore Rick’s iconic garage where there’s no shortage of references and easter eggs for fans.

This isn’t one of those tech demo-y games either, this is a full-fledged experience with puzzle solving, gun battles, and all sorts of other VR shenanigans. Virtual Rick-ality also features the voice cast from the popular animated adult show reprising their roles, that means the real, genuine Rick will be an asshole right in your face! We’ve truly peaked in gaming.

You can view the game’s launch trailer below.

If you want a copy, you can pick it up at most retailers near you. Don’t rush though, these things aren’t nearly as rare or limited as the Schezwan McDonald’s sauce so you won’t need to boycott your local GameStop.

Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality is now available on Oculus, HTC Vive, and PSVR.
