Ron Perlman ‘doesn’t want Hellboy 3’

Yes, you read the headline correctly. After almost two years of hint-dropping, teasing and promoting a possible Hellboy 3 movie, Ron Perlman has revealed that he is in fact not in favor of the idea.

This news may come as a shock to many Hellboy fans, after Perlman suggested that the title could be coming soon just before the San Diego Comic-Con. However, the movie's lead actor does have his reasons.

When asked about his thoughts on the potential Hellboy 3 title, he said: "Let me make the record clear, I don’t want to do Hellboy 3. It’s a pain in the ass to put that makeup on and take it off. But I feel we’re obligated to finish the story. That’s it. End of conversation."

However, Perlman has also suggested that he will continue to press the conversation of Hellboy 3, regardless of his intentions.

"We’re in the business of moving mountains. Those of us who are used to working in mainstream film and television," he said. "Don’t come to me with details and problems. Just tell me how we move the mountain" he said.

The uncertainty surrounding the return of Hellboy may frustrate many fans, with Guillermo del Toro, Director, claiming that he has been actively speaking to studios for finance, but nothing has yet been agreed.
